Minister of Finance visits Lichtenheldt:
New jobs and future projects.

As part of his summer tour, Minister of Finance for Schleswig-Holstein Claus Ruhe Madsen stopped off at Lichtenheldt. Following visits to Pelz and Ardagh Glass, the Minister popped in to the Lichtenheldt factories where he was able to see for himself the services we offer and the expansions we are planning.

The Minister was accompanied by several of our colleagues, representatives of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) and members of the local working group for industry and commerce. Mr Madsen highlighted, in particular, the large number of jobs in Wahlstedt which is currently around 2,000. At the same time, he expressed his delight that the planned expansions would create more jobs and contribute to the local economy. The Minister also emphasised how impressive it is that Lichtenheldt is enjoying so much success on such a demanding market as medicinal products.

Claus Ruhe Madsen’s visit to Lichtenheldt began with a brief tour of the plant, during which the Minister was able to get a direct insight into the company’s working processes and production facilities. He was told about the upcoming expansion projects which will play a key role in the further growth of the business. The comprehensive services Lichtenheldt offers as a leading contract manufacturer in the pharmaceutical sector were also presented.

The Minister’s visit highlighted the importance of Lichtenheldt as both a regional actor and a major player in the pharma industry. With our planned investments and our goal of creating more jobs, we are putting down a strong marker for the future of Wahlstedt. We are delighted with the recognition that Minister Madsen gave our innovativeness and our dedication which we see as confirmation that we are continuing to be successful in a challenging market environment.
